Who we are

LuckyThorne is an independent affiliate site, launched in 2023 and operated by Thorne Media Ltd. We are not a casino and we do not take deposits, hold player funds or run games. Our job is narrower and, we think, more useful: we read the terms, check the operator’s published figures and explain what a casino actually offers before you sign up. When we point you to an operator, we do so because the detail holds up, not because a logo looks nice.

What we cover

Most of our work sits in the areas players ask about most and get burned on most often: welcome and reload bonuses and their wagering terms, deposit and withdrawal options, and the live casino floor. We look at the studios behind the lobby too, so you know whether the games are from names such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Evolution and NetEnt. On the slots side that means reading a title on its own merits rather than by its marketing. Take Gates of Olympus from Pragmatic Play: a high-volatility, pay-anywhere grid with tumbling wins and multiplier orbs that can reach 500x, and a published RTP of 96.5% (T&Cs apply, verify on the operator’s site). That is the kind of specific detail we chase, because it changes how a game behaves for your bankroll.

How we stay independent

We are funded through affiliate commissions. If you follow one of our links and open an account, the operator may pay us a fee. That is the honest trade behind free content, and it comes with a firewall: commercial arrangements do not buy a better write-up, a higher score or a softer read of the terms. Ratings and criticism are set by the editorial team, and a partnership can be reviewed downward as easily as up. We spell out exactly how this works on our affiliate disclosure page, and we would rather lose a click than mislead you into an account that is wrong for you.

Meet the team

Our reviews carry a byline because someone should stand behind them. Editorial is led by Elena Marsh, a Senior iGaming analyst with nine years in the industry, who focuses on bonus terms, payments and live casino. She reads the fine print most players skip — wagering multipliers, game weighting, maximum cashout and payout timelines — and translates it into plain language, drawing on the operator’s published data rather than guesswork. Every review is dated and attributed so you can see who assessed it and when it was last checked.

18+ only. Gambling should be treated as entertainment, never a way to make money or fix financial problems. Terms and conditions apply — always verify the details on the operator’s site. If it stops being fun, please seek help; local support is signposted on our responsible gambling page.
