Our Editorial Policy
How LuckyThorne researches, reviews and fact-checks its casino and bonus content, and how we stay independent. 18+, T&Cs apply.

LuckyThorne is an independent affiliate site, and this policy sets out how our content is made, checked and kept honest. It applies to every casino review, bonus explainer and game guide we publish.
How we produce content
Our coverage is written by named specialists rather than an anonymous content pool. Elena Marsh, our Senior iGaming analyst with nine years in the industry, leads on the areas she knows best: bonus terms, payments and live casino. That focus matters. A promotion that looks generous on the landing page can carry wagering conditions, game weightings or maximum-cashout rules that quietly change its value, and reading those terms properly is a large part of the job.
When we describe how a game behaves, we work from the provider’s own specifications. Gates of Olympus by Pragmatic Play, for example, is a high-volatility slot built on a pay-anywhere grid with tumbling wins and multiplier orbs that can reach 500x; those are the mechanics we explain rather than vaguer claims about how often it “pays”. We cover titles and studios such as Pragmatic Play, Play’n GO, Evolution and NetEnt because they are the names players actually encounter, not because a brand paid for a mention.
How we review and fact-check
Every page carries a byline and a last-reviewed date so you can see who stands behind it and when it was last checked. On this page both the author byline and the review date point to the same record: reviewed by Elena Marsh on 16 July 2026. When terms change, we update the page and move the last-reviewed date forward rather than leaving stale information in place.
Our checks are grounded in the operator’s published data. We compare what a bonus page says against its own terms, confirm that a licence claim matches the stated authority, and prefer to leave a figure out entirely rather than guess at it. Where we cannot verify a specific number from source, we say so instead of inventing one.
How we handle bonus, RTP and licensing claims
Specific figures — bonus percentages, wagering multiples, return-to-player rates, deposit limits and payout windows — are only stated when we can source them from the operator’s published data. We attach a plain caveat to any such figure: T&Cs apply, and you should verify the current details on the operator’s site before you deposit, because promotions and limits change without much notice.
Licensing is treated the same way. LuckyThorne itself is operated by Thorne Media Ltd under the Malta Gaming Authority, licence MGA/XXX/XXXX. For the casinos we review, we report the licensing details the operator publishes rather than paraphrasing them into something they did not say.
Corrections policy
If we get something wrong, we want to fix it quickly. Spot an out-of-date bonus term, a mismatched licence detail or a factual error? Email hello@luckythorne.example and tell us what looks off. We review reports, correct confirmed mistakes, and update the last-reviewed date on the affected page so the change is visible.
Advertising & independence
LuckyThorne earns commission when readers sign up through some of our links, and that is how the site is funded. It does not buy a better review. Ratings and recommendations are decided by our editorial team on the merits; commercial relationships never override that judgement, and paid placement cannot change a verdict.
